Bassist Yaron Stavi and drummer/percussionist Asaf Sirkis comprise Dharmawan’s core trio. as well as guitarist Nicolas Meier and critically acclaimed reed multi-instrumentalist Gilad Atzmon, and Italian born singer Boris  Savoldelli .
Leonardo Pavkovic (MoonJune Records) describes keyboardist Dwiki Dharmawan as “one of Indonesia’s most prominent musicians: a cultural icon in his homeland and accomplished pianist, keyboardist, composer, arranger, performer and peace activist. A true cultural activist and ambassador of his beloved country, Dwiki has forged a very successful thirty-plus year career, performing in over sixty countries with solo and collective projects.”
Pasar Klewer manages to incorporate wildy diverse styles of music, all of it filled with great improvising. Eleven international musicians navigate these mostly dense charts, which blend the gamelan tonal system and traditional Indonesian melodies. With a career that already span three decades, Pasar Klewer is Dharmawan’s follow up to last year’s So Far So Close (also Moonjune Record). With Pasar Klewer, the keyboardist has turned in a truly original work of art
