A Night in Murcia
2023’s breakthrough, “A Night in Murcia”, Dwiki Dharmawan’s new single will be released soon.
Dwiki Dharmawan has been a well-known pianist and composer in Indonesia for over 35 years, he started to receive more international recognition in 2015 when he released “So Far So Close” on the MoonJune Music, a label that gave him more access to the western music audience. The album itself is broad and ambitious, but on Dharmawan’s album “Pasar Klewer” and “Rumah Batu”, Dwiki takes the idea of ambition to a whole new level with a wide landscape of cinematic sound. There’s a lot of complicated music on both of these albums, and the amount of style combined here takes us on a journey around the world. Released August 19 2020, Dwiki Dharmawan “Hari Ketiga” (The Third Day) is a sprawling improvopera In Nine Acts. “Hari Ketiga is a lot of music. It is by turns enchanting and bewildering, beautiful and weird. It is an effort about as uncommercial as one can get, but it succeeds artistically—for those with open ears, and/or those who can suspend expectations—mightily. A beguiling music, in its own strange way”. (AllAboutJazz.Com).
Before completing his latest album with Moonjune Music, Dwiki will soon be releasing a single titled “A Night in Murcia” with Netra.Live which is supported by Israel Varela (Drums), Julian Heredia (Bass), Steve Thornton (Percussion), Agam Hamzah (Acoustic Guitar) and Kamal Musallam (Oud). Not only on DSP’s, “A Night in Murcia” also will be released through FMA (Fractional Music Asset) which is also known as NFT. In addition, the opportunity to co-own this song is not only revolutionary. it is important for the future of all artists.
